Smiley girl shares with us some ways on how to make
yourself a better person
When your walking around the mall or just walking, smile at people, even people you don't like. Who cares if they snob you, remember, your not the one at fault.
Introduce yourself to the loser/loner/outcast at school or on your bus or at work. You'll thank yourself in the end.
Wake up in the morning and look in the mirror and instead of saying, "I'm so fat/ugly or whatever..." or anything to put yourself down, say out loud, I'm the most beautiful person I know and no one can change that! Love yourself!
Set positive daily and long term goals for yourself. For example, you might say, Today I'm gonna make someones day, I dunno how, but I will.
Throw away any of your "friends" that mean nothing to you and treat you like dirt. Their just gonna end up hurting you, so just give them up...no excuses!
Stand up to someone thats mean to you. Not like, get in a fight with them, but just put your foot down and say to yourself, enough is enough, I'm not gonna put up with suchandsuch making fun of me anymore! It's time to take action!
Be yourself. It's a very hard task, but people will love you for what you REALLY are than what you pretend to be. Try not to hide stuff people either. It just makes things worse.
Listen to some of your favorite music first thing in the morning or on your drive to work/school. Sing the words out loud and open the sunroof. If people look at you funny, then their just jealous about how much fun your having compared to how much their having.
Say sorry to someone you've hurt. Not only will they stop hurting, but you will too.
Just have some time to yourself once in a while. For example, get your hair done, go sunbathing, sit on the deck. read a book, stroll along the beach, watch the birds--anything to just get away from it all and forget about your stresses in life.
The big thing is to look up on a dark situation, because bad things may turn to worse, BUT they always, always, turn out better.
And walk with pride and a spring in your step. And remember that the glass is always half full and that the cloud ALWAYS has a silver lining.
